Mabati Rolling Mills Ltd (MRM), Kenya’s leading manufacturer of steel roofing and building solutions, today unveiled a Roofing and Building Solutions Mobile Showroom—a first of its kind in the country. The initiative is designed to expand access to quality, affordable building products while offering expert guidance to customers in both rural and urban areas.

Speaking at the launch, MRM Chief Executive Officer Albert Sigei underscored the company’s commitment to accessibility and innovation.

“We understand the importance of accessibility and convenience for our customers. This Mobile Showroom is part of our ongoing strategy to enhance the customer experience by bringing our innovative building solutions closer to homes and businesses,” he said.

Sigei added that the project goes beyond retail, serving as a platform to build trust and knowledge within communities.

“The showroom on wheels is also an educational hub. We are teaching proper roofing techniques, sharing the importance of genuine and durable products, and inspiring building ideas that match our customers’ dreams.”

Company representatives highlighted how the initiative supports Kenya’s broader housing and infrastructure goals.

“With the growing demand for affordable housing, MRM is committed to bridging the gap between aspiration and access. This showroom will make it easier for families, farmers, and developers in underserved regions to get the right solutions for their projects,” an MRM official explained.

The mobile showroom will showcase a range of MRM’s flagship products, including steel roofing sheets (Dumuza®, Dumurangi®, Resincot®, Covermax®, Maxcover®), roofing tiles (Versatile®, Elegantile®, Orientile®), stone-coated steel tiles (Lifestile®), and pre-fabricated houses (SAFHOME®). Also on display will be insulation, ventilation systems, pre-engineered structural solutions such as SAFBUILD® and ULTRASPAN®, and accessories like gutters and ridges.

The initiative, branded “Building Dreams, Mile by Mile”, reflects MRM’s long-term vision of ensuring that every Kenyan—regardless of location—has access to durable, trusted, and affordable building materials.
