The Jubilee Party has rejected ongoing political attacks against its leadership, saying it remains strong and focused on rebuilding ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni said the party is committed to multi-party democracy and will not bow to political pressure.
“The Jubilee Party remains committed to the Constitution and to multi-party democracy,” Kioni said.
He dismissed claims that former President Uhuru Kenyatta is a political burden, saying efforts to blame him for current challenges are misguided.
“Attempts to turn Uhuru Kenyatta into a political scapegoat will fail,” Kioni said, adding that such attacks are meant to distract Kenyans from real governance issues.
Kioni warned against efforts to revive ethnic divisions or rewrite political history, saying Kenyans will not be misled.
“Kenyans will not be intimidated or distracted by false narratives,” he said.
As the country heads towards the next General Election, Kioni said voters are more aware and are judging leaders based on performance.
“Kenyans are more politically aware and are counting the cost of broken promises and failed leadership,” he said.
Looking ahead to 2026, Kioni said Jubilee will begin a nationwide rebuild that includes recruiting new members, engaging aspirants and forming partnerships.
“Jubilee is rebuilding and preparing for the future,” he said.
He said the party will continue to promote good governance, constitutionalism and the rule of law.
“Jubilee is not retreating. We are preparing, and our party leader will not be silenced,” Kioni said.
